Laura Bowie, GOMA executive director, recently participated in two discussions highlighting GOMA’s positive impact in Gulf. On July 15, Laura participated in a panel webinar hosted by the U.S. Department of State, Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues. This webinar was the first in a series of events spotlighting women-led innovations to address climate challenges. Already, contacts from as far away as New Guinea and Nigeria have contacted GOMA to learn more about our keys to collaboration success.
Laura also joined representatives from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and West Coast Regional Ocean Partnerships on this month’s Capitol Beach podcast from the Coastal States Organization. They discussed the importance of Regional Ocean Partnerships and how authorization and funding from Congress could further increase regional collaboration. You can listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or the Coastal News Today website.
