Join a series of webinars designed for floodplain managers, planners, and other coastal professionals. Each webinar will provide background on coastal resilience topics and provide practical support for integrating the content into planning efforts. Professional CEUs include both AICP and ASFPM CEUs. This training will be led by Ms. Renee Collini, the Program Coordinator for the Northern Gulf of Mexico Sentinel Site Cooperative.
Ms. Collini will discuss how the probabilities of each sea-level rise scenario can be used to bring intentionality into planning that considers sea-level rise. She will review factors to consider when developing risk tolerance, how different levels of risk tolerance connect to scenario likelihood, and share tips on how to turn a selected amount of sea-level rise into information about future conditions such as high tide or storm surge and what kinds of decisions that could inform.
