[box type=”note”]We’ve reorganized! Read about our new priority issues for 2015![/box]

As part of the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Governors’ Action Plan II (PDF, 2.7MB), the Gulf of Mexico Alliance identified six priority issues that are regionally significant and can be effectively addressed through increased collaboration at the local, state and federal levels. Each priority identifies long term goals for the region and a number of actions to achieve those goals.

Each Priority Issue has a Priority Issue Team which works on the issues set out in the Action Plan. Membership of the Priority Issue Teams is diverse and represents resource managers, researchers, and industry personnel alike.

Although each Priority Issue Team has its own long term goals, they also assist in achieving the goals of other priority areas. Through their team efforts and their collaboration, the Priority Issue Teams bring scientific, technical and resource management expertise to the issues of the Gulf. They are a vital component of the Gulf of Mexico Alliance organization.
