Through our partners at Texas A&M University and Louisiana Tech, we are supporting research on two emerging threats to wildlife conservation on the Gulf coast: microplastic ingestion and PFAS concentration in game waterfowl. Local hunters donated duck carcasses for this research and students have worked to dissect and process samples. This project is supported by NOAA with funding provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
