Working with our partners at Freese and Nichols, we are establishing historic oyster habitat and identifying data gaps in Louisiana and Texas. We are also documenting oyster habitat trends and looking at local and regional threats to oyster habitat. A full project report will be available early next year and all of the mapping data will be available through our Gulf of Mexico Open Data Platform (GOMOD). This project is supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration with funding provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
