Join us February 19-22, 2024, in Tampa, Florida, for the next Gulf of Mexico Conference (#GOMCON).
Held at the Tampa Convention Center, this event will bring together coastal scientists and stakeholders in state and federal government, academia, non-profit, and private sectors to discuss current Gulf research and collaborate on new opportunities. Emphasizing the intersection of science, policy, and management, GOMCON will include sessions on themes that are important to ecosystem and community resilience as well as restoration and natural resource management.

Early-bird registration is available through January 12, 2024, and is $250 for the entire four days.
You may also register for Monday workshops ONLY for $50.
Regular online registration (January 13 – February 16, 2024) is $300.
On site registration is $350.
tools cafe call for submissions
Submissions are requested from any Gulf of Mexico stakeholder interested in sharing more about their online or paper-based tool(s). Please see below for additional information on criteria and format guidelines for demonstrations.
Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

hotel reservations
We have secured group rates for conference attendees at three hotels near the Tampa Convention Center. The deadline for hotel reservations is January 10, 2024. Space is very limited so please book early.
embassy suites tampa downtown convention center
The Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown Convention Center (513 South Florida Avenue) is the closest hotel to the Tampa Convention Center. The hotel connects directly to the conference venue by skybridge.
The group rate for conference attendees is $299 per night and includes a free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening reception. There are no government rate rooms available at this hotel. For a government rate room reservation, please use the link for the Barrymore Hotel below.
hotel tampa riverwalk
The Hotel Tampa Riverwalk (200 North Ashley Drive) is a short 10 minute (0.5 mile) walk to the Tampa Convention Center.
The group rate for conference attendees is $239 per night. The government rate block is full. Please see the government rate block at the Barrymore Hotel.
barrymore hotel
The Barrymore Hotel (111 W Fortune Street) is a 1.5 mile walk to the Tampa Convention Center.
The government rate is $192 per night.
transportation
The Tampa International Airport (TPA) is located 9.5 miles (15-20 minutes) from downtown Tampa. Information on ground transportation from/to the Tampa International Airport is available on their website: https://www.tampaairport.com/ground-transportation
A free, heritage streetcar service connects downtown Tampa, the Channel District, and Ybor City. The closest stop to the Tampa Convention Center is Dick Greco Plaza, located adjacent to the convention center and Embassy Suites hotel. parking
Parking is available at the Tampa Convention Center parking garage for $12/day. Several parking garages and surface lots are located near the convention center. More information is available on the City of Tampa website: https://www.tampa.gov/tcc/parking

The City of Tampa has a U.S. Green Building Council LEED for Cities Gold certification, ensuring a citywide commitment to sustainability and resilience. The Tampa Convention Center is also applying for LEED facility certification.
Sustainability practices at the Tampa Convention Center include:
- recycling and food donation efforts to reduce waste
- energy-saving LED lighting and natural lighting/daylight harvesting
- water bottle refill stations
- recycled and compostable to-go products with straw on request
