We recently completed a project with Audubon Texas that expanded outreach and engagement work as well as waterbird monitoring in Matagorda Bay, Texas.
Project accomplishments include:
- Surveying eight coastal sites with over 30,000 pairs of nesting birds
- Reaching 6,300 community members during in-person outreach events and another 21,000 on social media
- Removing 400 pounds of trash from two miles of shoreline
