GOMA’s Coastal Community Resilience Team, in partnership with Louisiana Sea Grant, recently facilitated a Coastal Community Resilience Index workshop with Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Using this guided self-assessment, community leaders discussed successes and identified vulnerabilities.
In the next phase of this project, the community will improve their emergency communications and increase public awareness and outreach on ways to protect their homes from storms and flooding.
