Federal Authorization as a Regional Ocean Partnership
The Alliance receives federal authorization under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as the Regional Ocean Partnership (ROP) for the Gulf of Mexico. This recognizes the Alliance as an intergovernmental coordinator for shared regional priorities including improved ocean and coastal health; enhanced community resilience; and increased regional data sharing.
