We recently supported a workshop for community members in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, connecting them with preparedness agencies and resources ahead of storm season. Our project partners at the Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management hosted the meeting. Participants included Ironton Reconstruction and Development, Second Harvest, Plaquemines Parish government staff, Louisiana Department of Insurance, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, and FEMA. This project is funded by Gulf Star partner Freeport McMoRan.
