GOMA’s Ali Robertson and Christina Mohrman recently traveled to Metairie, Louisiana, to participate in the installation of a new “litter gitter” with Pontchartrain Conservancy, Jefferson Parish, and Osprey Initiative. The litter gitter stops trash from going further downstream and eventually into the Gulf.
This project expands ongoing citizen science water monitoring work by Pontchartrain Conservancy supported through the Gulf Star Program.
