The Gulf of Mexico Alliance, with funding from NOAA and our Gulf Star partners Equinor and USFWS, is proud to support undergraduate internships in coastal management for students from diverse backgrounds. To date, five women have gained hands-on experience at state agencies across the region. 


Current interns, their universities and their hosts are:

·    Samantha Wallace of Prairie View A&M University is focused on environmental education activities with Dauphin Island Sea Lab

·    Destiny Anderson of Florida A&M University is looking for sea turtle nests with the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve
