An ongoing project led by the GOMA Education & Engagement Team has been a huge success, helping 15,000 south Louisiana students reduce their use of single-use plastics while learning about the effects of marine debris.
Twenty-eight stations were installed in total, including 15 new stations last year, saving an estimated 152,000 plastic bottles from becoming trash.
