Property owners are beginning to use living shorelines more often, but it can be difficult to find information on permitting. To help people understand the process, we funded a project through our Gulf Star Program where researchers identified obstacles to living shorelines permitting and trained homeowners to navigate the living shoreline process. Last year, we supported 11 workshops for property owners in four states with 179 participants. This project was funded by Shell through our Gulf Star Program.
