This fall, we proudly supported two coastal management interns at state agencies across the region. In addition, we are excited to announce that there will be seven new interns coming on board this spring in Texas, Mississippi, and Florida. We are so thankful for our state partners for hosting these interns, and for our Gulf Star partners: NOAA, USFWS, and Equinor.

- Nayomi Jones-Rapier, a student at Tuskegee University, is completing the Coastal Programming and Career Exploration Internship virtually at the USM Marine Education Center.
- Erin McBain, a student at the University of South Alabama, is working on field and lab-based research, conducting outreach, and more for Mississippi State University Coastal Research and Extension Center.
